Steve Nichols
Managing Partner
Steve joined Newkirk Environmental Inc. in 1990 as a field biologist. His primary responsibilities with the firm now include project and business management along with senior supervision of wetland delineations, endangered species assessments, state and federal wetlands permitting and mitigation. Steve has dealt extensively with Corps of Engineers staff regarding verification of boundaries and wetland permitting procedures, as well as successfully permitting and operating seven mitigation banks.
In his spare time, Steve and his wife Erin can be found on the sideline of a field or the edge of a pool cheering on their two boys. In the very little time after that, Steve enjoys boating, hunting, fishing and a good glass of red wine.
